Launch of ArcelorMittal XCarb® Innovation Fund’s China Accelerator Program

ArcelorMittal recently announced the launch of the XCarb® Innovation Fund China Accelerator Program. The program aims to support and accelerate the development of breakthrough low-carbon emission steelmaking technologies. The XCarb® Innovation Fund will invest in companies developing breakthrough technologies to accelerate the steel industry’s transformation to carbon-neutral steelmaking.

The technology areas covered by the program include breakthrough low-carbon emission steelmaking technologies, technologies to convert waste into gas or biochar, gas reforming and conversion technologies, breakthrough hydrogen production technologies, carbon capture and storage technologies, long-term large-scale energy storage technologies and clean energy technologies.
