South Korea’s steel industry is in a state of emergency

The Korean steel industry has indeed been in a state of emergency recently. This is because US President Trump announced a 25% tariff on all imported steel, which has led to severe competitive pressure on Korean steel companies. In response to this challenge, large steel companies such as Hyundai Steel and Posco have closed many plants and are considering building new production bases in the United States.
