Lula: Brazil will take reciprocal measures to counter US steel and aluminum tariffs

Brazilian President Lula recently said that if the United States imposes additional steel and aluminum tariffs on Brazil, Brazil will take reciprocal measures to counter. Specifically, Brazil plans to impose tariffs on US products exported to Brazil and file a complaint with the World Trade Organization.

This decision is a response to the executive order recently signed by US President Trump, which announced a 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum products imported into the United States. Lula stressed that Brazil hopes to resolve the problem through dialogue and other means, but if the United States takes measures, Brazil will respond in kind.
