Causes of piston rod overheating
The main reasons include the following aspects:
The sealing ring is too tight: over-tightening will increase friction and generate too much heat.
Assembly deviation or axial clearance is too small: this will increase friction and cause overheating.
Insufficient lubrication or improper use of lubricants: Insufficient lubrication will increase friction and wear, leading to overheating.
Insufficient oil supply: Properly increasing the oil supply can reduce friction and heat.
Poor running-in between the piston rod and the sealing ring: the running-in should be strengthened during the matching and grinding.
Impurities mixed in the air and oil: they should be cleaned and kept clean.
In order to prevent the piston rod from overheating, it is recommended to regularly check and maintain the piston rod and its related parts to ensure that all seals and springs are properly tightened and avoid over-tightening; during the assembly process, strictly follow the technical specifications to ensure correct installation and appropriate axial clearance; select the appropriate lubricant and maintain good lubrication.
